Great location and facilities, let down by its staff

Facilities, pools, restaurants and room were amazing

Staff had attitude and were very blunt. My room was still not clean by 3pm most days. Hotel was not very clean with debris that had fallen off tree’s everywhere and seaweed on beach. Staff although reminded 3 times failed to book our shuttle to the hotel so we had a hectic panic at the end of the trip trying to get a cab. Drug dealers on the beach constantly approaching you

beach is pleasant. staff are all brilliant

decor was not wholly to my taste but pleasant enough. food was really not great and I don’t think I’d ever do all inclusive again based on this food and drinks

Very Good

The resort is amazing. The staff can't do enough and the beach is gorgeous. Cannot wait to go back!

The sun loungers is a real issue, if you're not up at 7am with your things at the pool you've very little chance of getting a good spot for the day. People tend to double book themselves reserving beds they don't even go to. The food on the resort could be better for the price you're paying.

Beautiful location but slow service

beautiful location, staff walking around property very friendly. I had my wedding out there and the photographer/ videographer were amazing, really went above and beyond.

Service is very slow, staff working don’t seem very happy. As it’s all inclusive you can’t tip the staff so it feels like the have no incentive to work faster/harder. The vibe I got was they get paid if the serve 100 guests or 10 so speed and efficiency doesn’t matter.

Won’t go again due to the miserable staff!!

Amazing facilities and location. Issue with drug dealers on the beach constantly pestering people and doing deals.

Staff have major attitude problems and 90% are dam right rude. It totally spoiled our holiday. We ended up checking out and going to the Fairmont where the staff were different class!!

Exceptional

I would like to start giving a big, big compliment to the full Sandals Barbados staff. Literally the full staff was friendly, many greetings, great service and everything always with a Caribbean smile. I normally do not write reviews but in this particular case I wanted to share our experience. Main reason is that we did read quite some ‘negative’ reviews of guests complaining about service, long waiting, food, staff, etc. We did not experience any of this. Food is great, choice of many restaurants, very supportive staff, everything very clean, nice rooms, and even the garden is so beautiful. Big shout out to the garden team as well. Yes if you do not have a butler, you need to make your own reservation. But this is very easy. We had dinner in all restaurants and managed this without any issue. The room is super clean and nice spacious. So all together, we had a fantastic holiday, we stayed 9 days. Ps. Also compliment to Sandals management. I was very pleased to see that management is visible as well as walking around with a helping hand. We can highly recommend Sandals Barbados and we will for sure come back!

perfect honeymoon destination

the stay at one, play at 2 facility to use the next door sandals property was excellent, food options were plenty.

vegetarian options for food are limited but once you talk to the chef’s or culinary team and they shall take care of you.

Location was amazing right on the beach. Lots of food choices, so may restuarants to choose from with all different food types

The service in the restuarants could have been a bit quicker, no matter where we went there was always a long wait.

Prijs van massage is niet in verhouding met wat je krijgt. Verder hebben ze dress-codes voor bepaalde restaurants, waar helaas niet op toegezien wordt. Bijv. toch toegelaten worden met een "'korte broek" terwijl er lange broek('voor heren) vereist is.

Gostamos de absolutamente tudo ! Comida sensacional, café da manhã, praia, piscina e bares !! Hotel novo e com conforto inigualável! Atendentes atenciosos e rápidos!

Sistema de toalhas ruim as 09 ou 10 da manhã já não haviam mais toalhas pois as pessoas pegavam 3 ou 4 cada uma! Restaurante Portofinos no jantar muito demorado e confuso. Não trouxeram as entradas e as atendentes confusas.

„Bei booking für 6 Tage 1 Butlersuite gebucht, bekamen aber den B’service nicht, bezahlten Fr.7200.—.

Lage top, Zimmer top.

Der Shuttle Flughafen Hotel wurde inbegriffen gebucht, mussten aber 25 US/Dollar bar dem Chauffeur bezahlen, geht gar nicht! Der Preis war das Doppelte was es normalerweise kostet. Der Empfangschef stand daneben und grinste. Der Empfang war freundlich, aber nicht aussergewöhnlich. Wir buchten über booking.com eine Butlersuite Seaside ocean view für 6 Nächte, vor einem Jahr für ca. Fr. 7200.—. Wir bekamen eine Suite,aber nur Clublevel (alle Zimmer sind 37 m2) mit Gartensicht! Wir wurden über den Tisch gezogen.Service in den Restaurant höchstens 3*, Qualität Essen top! Preis ist zu hoch für die Leistungen und Service, welche das Hotel Sandals Royal erbringt. Kein 5 * Hotel, höchstens 4*! Für Karibik wahrscheinlich i.O., aber nicht für hohe Ansprüche! Nie mehr Sandals!!

Great time, but dissapointed as stated on the Restaurant availability.

Breakfast was excellent mainly at the Parissiene Restaurant.

I was extremely disappointed on the availability of the restaurants. On the day we got there bearing in mind this was a 8pm there was no availability at any of the bookable restaurants for a decent time only 6.30pm and 9pm. The properties with Butlers had taken all the best times and I have been informed this is a regular occurrence. I tried to book restaurants via e-mail before we arrived and was not allowed to do so thus there being nothing left when we got there It seems totally unfair that if you don't book a butler suite, which we didn't want you cannot possibly get a more suitable time for your evening meal. We actually only got to book two restaurants at 6.30pm anyway as everything else was fully booked. I really didn't want to even take them to be honest as this is too early for us.

Good facilities.

Good facilities. Lovely gardens.

Sandals is more for younger people. We are over 60 and not appropriate for us. To much free alcohol. Often noisy when going to bed due to the alcohol. The alcohol is cheap. If I wanted a decent glass such as a Pinot Noir, I would have to buy this. Similarly difficult to obtain sparkling water or Diet Coke in a bottle. Certainly none of these are available in the. Restaurants. I probably paid double for my room compared to the cheaper rooms and they drank unlimited alcohol and I could not have just one glass of what I wanted. It was hard to find a pool with no noise or blaring music. Butler service seems a pointless extra. Other decent hotels provide the service as standard.
